1. What can I search on the site?
You are able to search for tax information and property data for real property, personal property and motor vehicles. This includes information such as property values, location, mailing address, taxes billed and taxes due.
2. How can I search?
Using the navigation bar at the top of the page or by selecting a card on the home page, you will select the property type you would like to search for. On the next screen, select the criteria you would like to search by.
Here are some tips to obtain the most results:
- When searching by the owner's last name, use the first three or more letters rather than typing in the full last name.
3. When I perform a property search the property I am looking for does not come up.
Public Access is updated every business day with the previous business day's information. If the property account you are searching for was recently created, it could take up to three business days to see the account data on Public Access. If the property you are searching for does not have a new account, you will want to contact the Beaufort County Auditor's Office for personal property and vehicles or the Beaufort County Assessor's Office for real property and mobile homes.
4. How often is Public Access updated with new data?
Public Access is updated every business day with the previous business day's information. The date of the last update performed is displayed at the top of each property's information page. An example is shown below.
